- Self made Workbench -

When we were looking for counter tops, we found pretty good ones on sale at IKEA. Just for the case I would do an mistake by cutting them for our new kitchen, I bought one more, with the idea to bring it back in case we wouldn't need it.

making a dream out of leftovers

But finally I managed to cut the kitchens counter top without mistakes and so I had one left. I ever wanted a workbench at the garage - so this was my chance!

4 legs

I bought 4" wood at the Home Depot and Jadwiga and I did cut four legs out of it.

Like practiced ;-)

This picture is the proof: The weeding prepares you for marriage ;-)

the fittings

Since all the houses here are made out of wood, you can find everything you need for a strong workbench at the Home Depot.

the last time on knees

Some screws later it really began to look like a workbench :-)

little helpers

For getting it strong, Jadwiga suggested to have an additional connection between the legs. Well - her wish is my command ;-)

nearly done

The water level makes sure that everything is in line.

done

After the workbench was finished there was one little problem: It was so heavy that Jadwiga and I just couldn't lift it up. But some friends came and helped, so that it's now in it's place.

ready for projects

Now we are all set for future projects!
